minick quality
Each piece of furniture is assembled with wooden dowel pins, water based wood glue and wood screws.
Most of the drawers on our furniture are dove-tailed – some English, some French – and most of the drawer glides are either wood-on-wood or wood-on-metal, but it mainly depends on the collection. That is due to the fact that our furniture is supplied from two different factories, each having its own way of furniture production.
In our furniture, the bottom of every case is dust-proof. Our beds come with support systems for the mattress and adjustable legs for your hardwood floor or carpeting. Also, many collections offer dressers with hidden jewelry chests and the mirrors are all beveled.
Have you or someone in your household scratched the surface of your furniture? Do not worry! It easy to fix, as it is SOLID WOOD! Take a generic touch up stick in the matching color and gently paint over the scratch. Our distressed finish will provide an easy blend in.
For our furniture, only solid wood is used. As trees come with limbs, knots can be found on the furniture. We would like to assure you that this is nature’s mark, not a defect. The wood that our furniture comes from is cut very clean and is almost knot-free.
We offer a variety of finishes. One of them is called “Old White”. We call it “old” because of the distressing that is used to provide a durable look and finish. “Old White” is not a dye, but paint. Since nature is unpredictable and resins of knots can cause bleeding-through the paint, minor discoloration may be caused. If healthy and natural furniture is your choice, then minor discoloration or a small amount of knots would not be your concern.

Furniture Care
Solid wood furniture is an investment that you envision to last a lifetime. To maintain its natural look and make your investment worthwhile, solid wood furniture requires the correct care. Our furniture has a variety of finishes, which seal the wood from moisture and dirt. These finishes require some protection themselves. Use a soft rag for cleaning.
There are some easy things you can do to prolong the life of the finish and the furniture.
Be sure to use a protective pad when writing with a ballpoint pen on the furniture surface. Never place your WHITE furniture in direct sunlight; UV rays can cause the finish to fade and to bleed through.
Use felt to cover the bottom of items such as lamps or vases, and this will help to avoid scratches. When removing items off of the surface, pick them up and avoid sliding to ensure a scratch-free top.
If the finish has been damaged, call a professional for an evaluation.
